Adult Program: “Then and Now: A Trip Through Eastern Europe’s Jewish Heritage Sites“ by Judy Rosenthal
By means of a presentation of recent photos and vintage postcards, experience and learn about the most important Jewish sites in Prague, Budapest, Krakow, and Warsaw, including synagogues, tributes to righteous gentiles, memorials to those who perished in the Holocaust, and the famous Jewish cemeteries in Prague and Warsaw. In addition, see what remains of the various Jewish quarters (pre-WWII) and ghettos, and see images of the concentration camps of Plaszow, Terezin, and Auschwitz-Birkenau. Travel (virtually) with Peretz member Judy Rosenthal who visited these sites while on a Jewish Heritage trip in the summer of 2014.
