Adult Program:“The Great Latke-Hamentaschen Debate” by Peretz members Rob Pestka and Keith Wailoo
Latkes and Hamentaschen are foods that have all enjoyed for centuries. Only since 1946, however, have the sundry merits and drawbacks of both foods been hotly debated in a formal setting. In the 2012 annual debate sponsored by Princeton University’s Center for Jewish Life, Peretz parent Keith Wailoo, Professor in the Department of History and the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, was one of the debaters taking up this hot topic. A video recording of this timeless debate will be shown by Peretz parent Rob Pestka, and Keith Wailoo will moderate the discussion. Come join us for this entertaining program, and you too will be able to take a side—latkes or hamentaschen?
