Adult Education Program: Rutgers Film Festival

November 22, 2020, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

(Adult Education Event)
Rutgers Film Festival and Community Discussion

This pandemic year the Bildner Center is presenting the annual Rutgers Jewish Film Festival (RJFF) online, Nov. 8-22, 2020. The Peretz Planning Committee selected two films for an online discussion:

Nowhere in Africa. Q&A with Caroline Link, Sunday, Nov. 15, Noon.
Asia. Q&A with Ruthy Prabar, Director, and Natasha Zaretsky, NYU scholar, on Wed., Nov. 18th, 1:00 PM. This film co-stars the amazing Shira Haas, who you may know from Shtisl and Unorthodox, both available on Netflix.

We selected Sunday, Nov. 22nd, at 3:00 PM for our community discussion that will be conducted online via GoogleMeet. As this date is at the end of the festival, there may be time and interest to discuss other notable films as well. Please RSVP  to Judy Stern to receive the GoogleMeet link. If you have not yet participated in a virtual meeting and have questions, please contact Claudia Farber, who is hosting the meeting.

Go to the Bildner Center website to purchase tickets and to learn how to view films and Q&As. If you cannot make the live Q&A event, the recording will be available after a day or two to those ticketed for the film. The films, and Q&As, can be watched on your computer. For TV projection: with an HDMI cable, connect your computer to your TV (input 4; then change input source using your remote); you may need to select Duplicate Visual in Settings.

Open to the public.
