SUMMARY:Teen Group: Chanukah!
DESCRIPTION:(Teen Group Event) \nChanukah Potluck\n&\nSocial Action Video Screening \nThe IL Peretz Secular Jewish Community’s Teen Group is planning several gatherings his fall. Meet at / Drop off your kids at 1:00 pm at the Pestkas (home of Robin ’17 and Harry ’16)\, where we will have a potluck lunch.  Don’t forget to bring your favorite Chanukah dish\, or anything you think your friends will enjoy! \nAfter lunch we will screen a number of short films relating to social-action organizations and projects that have been implemented in the US and around the world.  Some of the films deal with global issues that affect broad swaths of people\, some with local and community-level issues that advocate for individuals or families.  Each film is intended to be followed by discussions that assist the teens in thinking about what they might be interested in pursuing as a group social action project.  Some of the films are intended for more mature children\, so please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.  The video screening will also take place at the Pestkas and will end at 4:00. \nThe dozen or so teens who have attended our Teen Group events this fall have really enjoyed them\, and we encourage all our teens and graduating class kids to try one out!  Please RSVP now\, and don’t forget to let us know what potluck dish you will bring!
