DESCRIPTION:(Adult Education) \nA Presentation from and about the Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom\n(A presentation by Lola Kamp and Meher Rafiq) \nSisterhood of Salaam Shalom is an organization that grows relationships between Muslim and Jewish women to build bridges and fight hate\, negative stereotyping and prejudice. They are changing the world\, one Muslim and one Jewish woman at a time!  The evening will include remarks from Lola Kamp and Meher Rafiq\, followed by a question-and-answer period.  They will discuss the history of their organization\, its goals\, as well as the activities of their local chapter. \n“The relationships that are built by bringing together Muslim and Jewish women\, who share so many practices and beliefs\, are life-changing and can help put an end to anti-Muslim and anti-Jewish sentiment.  We influence family\, friends and the general public about our strength in coming together to build bridges and fight hate\, negative stereotyping and prejudice.”\n \n– Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom Executive Director \n  \nThe IL Peretz Secular Jewish Community’s Adult Education Programs educate our members in engaging ways about Jewish heritage and the world around us.
