These groups have a great influence on the text books and curriculum in our schools. With our children falling behind the rest of the world in science and math\, this is not a trivial issue. What is evolution\, what is the controversy\, why not teach other theories\, why does Texas hold such influence over what is written in our text books? \n\nJeremy Freedman has been a high school science teacher for the past 28 years and has had to face these issues directly.
